There are always risks for emotional and health consequences when encountering any type of pest.

Each pest has its own unique way of contaminating your home and significantly increasing your risk of disease, allergies, asthma, and many other detrimental medical conditions to your health. Each service we offer focuses on directly eliminating these potential health and emotional risk factors. At every opportunity we recommend sealing up every possible entry point into your home to enforce strict preventative measures of all types of pests entering your home and disrupting your peaceful way of life. We do offer this Seal-Up service, however for the most part, it can be easily done yourself. There are pests small enough that can get into your home through cracks or openings as small as 1/64 of an inch! Any kind of exterior crack or hole in your home where wires and pipes are, and even around window sills are perfect entry points. These small cracks and holes may not seem like much to worry about, but the aftermath can result in physical damage to the home’s structure and even to your personal belongings. Pests can then contaminate any of your food products and also the dining surfaces where you eat. This can lead to adverse health conditions by spreading germs, disease, and irritating allergies. Not to mention disrupting the comfort you feel in your own home and genuine sense of well-being.

This may all sound very serious and hazardous to you and your family’s health, and it is, but it is for these reasons that Beacon Pest Services does what it does. It is our passion to protect families from all of these harmful pests. Pests can be the carriers of many different pathogens that spread disease in and around the home you live in. They have been known to spread food borne illnesses like salmonella and dysentery causing cases of headaches, fever, nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Below are a few more potential health risks that you may be exposing you and your family to.

Bed Bugs

Bed bugs can cause a significant amount of stress, sleepless nights, and uncontrollable anxiety. The unsettling feeling or thought of having these bed bugs crawling and feeding off of you while you sleep is reason enough for an immediate solution. Beacon Pest Services is here to make sure you are able to sleep soundly in a pest free home.

Not many people think of cockroaches when they think of reasons for allergies and asthma.  Did you know that cockroach feces, saliva, and their insect parts can break down into a dust and can become one of the most common indoor allergy triggers for children and adults. Some reactive responses can include itchy eyes, sneezing and even severe asthmatic attacks requiring immediate medical attention in some individuals. If you are suffering any of these symptoms and have a pest infestation please consult your health physician and call us to remedy your environmental situation. Exposure to cockroaches is also a common trigger for asthma attack in those with asthmatic sensitivities, especially in children. Infants that are exposed to roach residue for a prolonged period of time are likely to remain asthmatic and sensitive to cockroaches for the rest of their lives. If an adult or child already has a previous history of asthma the probability of their asthmatic condition can be worsened with repeated exposure.
